Last sunday I installed windows vista in my computer, and everything worked well. I tried windows media player, internet explorer, and the side bar, even though I didn't try the other programs above before starting to install the automatic updates of windows vista... after I started to install them, some of the programs stopped working, but I ignored them because they weren't that important to me. I tried to install java and media player, and I noticed that they didn't work. when I tried to install java, it would cancel and open a windows saying, "the windows installer sevice could not be accessed. this can occur if the windows instaler is not coflash player for windowsrretly installe .contact your support personnel for assistance." I tried doing it again and again, but it wouldn't work. Afterwards, I tried to listen to music via windows media player, which wouldn't work.Then I looked around my desktop and noticed that my sidebar wasn't working, the icons would either look different that they should, show in white, or not show at all.After all that, I tried to download windows live messenger, and it wouldn't work, where I noticed that windows-related programs wheren't working (java and flash player are related to WINDOWS' internet explorer) but I still tried to finish the updates in case it was their fault and theflash player for windowsn a message appears in windows update, "the windows installer sevice could not be accessed. this can occur if the windows instaler is not corretly installe .contact your support personnel for assistance." I don't know what to do, help.
1.Restart your computer
2.Try again to download from windows update
3.If its not working again restart and this time do not start windows update but download pure SP1 from microsoft site
and install it.
Restart again
